It is now 3:00 PM, time for feeding infants and young children.  Muoyan watches a nurse and a mama filling bottles in the sanitary room.  Over forty bottles are filled in with rice meal added with milk powder and glucose.  Four care givers and a nurse (mama, papa or aunt, as the older children call them) are moving quickly to get the children fed.  The bottles for infants are on the racks of the cribs waiting for mamas to feed them.

Mr. Li came back to the room and asked us to the office for tea.  We had a further meeting after visiting the children and their mamas.  There are over 400 children who have been adopted internationally by the families from the USA, Canada, and other eight European countries.  Most of the children are now living in the states. To Mr. Li, I orally translated Claudia's letter that was sent by 2 moms with children from Gaoming.  I especially mentioned about the sincere gratitude and appreciation from the families for what the care givers and the administration staff did for their children. Mr. Li was touched by the donation that all the families had made as well as the donation that the families asked to do for the Home in Claudia's letter.  We also exchanged some information for further communication.

I took the pictures of the industrial sized washer and dryer contributed by nine families with children from Gaoming.  Mr. Li took us downstairs and the Home's van was waiting for us by the gate.  Mr. Li and I shook hands a couple of times before the door was pushed close.

We were riding to the bus station in the same van that delivered five children to their American dads and moms.  Five more children found their dads and moms and five more families were established on Father's Day, June 18, 2000!

The day after I went to Gaoming Home, I visited the brand new families at White Swan Hotel to say "Congratulations!".  I also wanted to meet a couple that I became friends with on line.  They had e-mailed me before my departure to China regarding their travel to Gaoming for their daughter.  In the meantime, I also wanted to say thanks to a little girl and her adoptive parents whom I met on board the airplane flying to Shanghai.  The family was going to visit a friend in Shanghai before going to Gaoming to pick up their second daughter and baby sister to the little girl.

Their dream came true!!
